Welland, ON: The Niagara College Knights hosted the 3rd invitational event of the OCAA golf season at Cardinal Lakes Golf Club in Welland on Friday.

Your Knights golf team had a productive day at Cardinal Lakes, both as a team and individually. The Knights continue to make improvements and are trending in the right direction on their way to the OCAA championships. As a team, they shot a consistent 321 (+33), on a tricky course where the teams had to adjust quickly to the speedy greens. The team event saw the Knights count scores from Ethan Siebert, Robbie Stewart, Aidan McVey, and Matthew Palumbi.

The Knights have made improvements and have spent countless hours on the range to better their games. The Knights were led by Ethan Siebert, finishing tied for 9th, shooting an impressive 76 (+4), followed closely by Robbie Stewart, shooting a 79 (+7), placing 20th overall on the day.

On Sunday, the Knights played another local course in the Brock University invitational hosted at Sawmill Golf Course. Another strong showing from Ethan Siebert brought him a t12th finish individually. The team finished in 9th place with a four-man score of 317.

The Knights will continue to train in preparation for the OCAA Championships being hosted by Georgian College at Barrie Country Club from September 30th to October 2nd, 2024.
