HAMILTON, ON: The Niagara Knights men's basketball team suffered shooting woes tonight as they could not find the net from beyond the arc on their way to an 84-55 loss at the hands of the Mohawk Mountaineers. 

A tough Mohawk team showed up to play on Saturday evening, feeding off the crowd at their home opener and the starting five for the Knights could not come up with answers offensively to keep up with the Mountaineers. 

Although 11 different Knights scored in this contest, only two scored in double digits – Chris Spann and Tuna Olmez.  Chris added 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, while Tuna contributed 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals along with his 100% shooting (4 for 4) from the free throw line.  First years Lado Laku and Eric Tesar also shot 100% from the free throw line for the Knights. 

The Knights will not have much time to recover from this loss as they travel to Toronto on Wednesday, October 29th to face the Humber Hawks.  Tipoff is scheduled for 8pm at the Humber Athletic Centre.
