Knights look to bounce back at home going into the weekend

September 12th, 2024

Welland, ON: Your Niagara Knights (0-2) look to bounce back from an unfortunate start to the season. They come into this week to prepare for a back-to-back weekend, welcoming the travelling Lambton Lions (0-2) on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th vs. the St. Clair Saints (0-1-1), both taking place at Youngs Sportsplex.

Your Knights showed a lot of fight and character in them as they hosted the #1 ranked Humber Hawks in an exciting home opener on Friday, September 6th. Unfortunately, they fell short early in the game - they continued to fight hard and although capitalizing late in the game, they were unable to equalize, losing 2-1.

Your Knights then travelled to London, ON to take on the Fanshawe Falcons (1-0) for the second game of the season. Although fighting till the last minute. The knights were unable to gain a result and fell 5-0 to the Falcons.

The Knights went into this week at training with a strong mind focusing on the challenge ahead, as they look to pick up 6 points this weekend against two great programs. We hope to see our fellow Knights community come and cheer on our team which is shaping up to be a beautiful, exciting weekend of soccer.
