The Niagara College Knights Men's Volleyball team dropped a 3-2 (21-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-21 and 15-11) decision to the Canadore College Panthers on Sunday afternoon in Welland.

Dan Trudel (North Bay, ON) had 18 kills and one block for 19 points for the Panthers, while Cody McLellan (Chatham, ON) recorded 16 kills, two aces, and one block for 19 points for the Knights.

"We played well enough to win, but we couldn't find a way to finish after being up two sets to one," said head coach Nathan Groenveld. "As a young team we are trying to find our identity and figure out who we are as a program," he added.

Niagara beat Canadore 3-1 in North Bay in their first meeting back on November 25.

The loss extends the Knights losing streak to five games and drops their record to 3-10 on the season.

The Knights are back in action on Wednesday, February 1, when they travel to Ancaster to take on the Redeemer University College Royals (8-6).

Niagara lost 3-0 to Redeemer in the Knights' home opener back on November 9.

Game time on Wednesday is 8:00pm.
