The Niagara College Knights Men's Volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-16, 25-14, 19-25, 25-18) decision to the Sheridan College Bruins last night in Oakville.

Jeremy Fantin (Mississauga, ON) had 11 kills, seven blocks for 18 points, along with nine digs for Sheridan. Josh Butler (London, ON) also had a strong game for the Bruins with 15 kills and two blocks for 17 points. He also tallied nine digs.

Meanwhile. Yosef Zaid (Windsor, ON) was the leading scorer for Niagara with 11 kills, three aces, and two blocks for 16 points, along with eight digs. Millar Galbraith (Georgetown, ON) chipped in with six kills and seven kills for 13 points, along with five digs.

The Knights, who will not qualify for post-season action, have a record of 4-12, and are tied for 7th place with the Canadore College Panthers in the OCAA West Region.

Niagara has two games remaining in the 2011-2012 season. They will travel to Windsor on Sunday to take on the St. Clair College Saints (1-15). The Knights beat the Saints 3-1 back on December 4 in Welland. Game time on Sunday is 4:00pm.

The Knights will close out the season with a home game on Wednesday, February 15 against the Humber College Hawks (15-1). Niagara lost in three sets in the season opener to the Hawks back on November 3. Game time on Wednesday is 8:00pm.
